A word describing the lack of cover or layers a certain object, organ or organism has. Other words and phrases describing naked include: bare, no clothing, no layers, birthday suit, lack of clothes and lack of layers.

examples: “it is so microscopic, it’s invisible to the naked eye”, “although penguins seem a bit naked, they are covered in layers of fur”

Naked

In the Military, "going naked" is a term for partaking in a mission with minimal to no gear. Going naked is common in Espionage Operations, as the soldier would have to procure weapons on-site, by either stealing them or looting them off of bodies.
