Pseudo-Intellect

A person who tries to look smarter than it really is. Pseudo-Intellects usually post philosophy or metaphors that make no sense in their status updates on Facebook while using words they don't even understand. They also try to be political, scientific or statistical about random shit nobody cares about.

The things Pseudo-Intellects write don't make sense to anyone but themselves, and they like that because it makes them feel smarter, even though they're the real dumbasses. If they happen to get a "Like" on one of their Facebook quatrains, it's either from another Pseudo-Intellect or from a dumbass who assumes the P-I is smart.
Pseudo-Intellect on FB: "If we open trade to all countries, the surrogates can come together and we can have world peace. And finally, Man can have it's mantra fufilled."
*liked by 16 year old dumbass*

Intellectual

Someone that uses their mind and exercises their imagination often, and can be specialized. Intellectuals need not be advanced in the english language or literature and they may come from any walk of life; scientists, for example, tend to have an extensive vocabulary in terms relevant to their own field, while novelists tend to have a wider vocabulary in non-scientific terms. Vocabulary isn't the determining factor of what makes an intellectual though; it is mostly a matter of their ability to think, create change, and form new ideas.
Albert Einstein, Plato, Aristotle, Bruce Lee, Shigeru Miyamoto, Bill Gates, Alfred Russel Wallace, Alfred Wegener, Doris Lessing, Sir Vidiadhar Surajprasad Naipaul, Gao Xingjian, Vincent van Gogh, Richard F. Heck, Isaac Newton, are all examples of the diversity of intellectuals.

pseudo intelligensia

Members of the pseudo intelligensia are people who use, or misuse long words, and talk about complex subjects as if theyve put extensive thought and time into the area. People who think The Matrix is a profound philosophical statement.

People who talk a load of shit and think it is somehow profound.
pseudo intelligensia - "but how do you know that this isnt just a computer simulation, and really were just in the matrix...?"

Intellectual Dark Web

A collection of academics and interviewers who publish work (mostly in print, video, and podcasts) on a variety of subjects including politics, psychology, economics, evolution, physics, Islamic reformation, and comedy.
The group includes (from the political left to right) Bret Weinstein, Sam Harris, Eric Weinstein, Maajid Nawaz, Joe Rogan, Dave Rubin, Jordan Peterson, and Ben Shapiro, as well as others.
Most members of the group have been actively publishing work for years, sometimes decades, but the group came to prominence as a whole in the time after the election of Donald Trump.
Some believe the group belongs to the alt-right, but evidence for this claim is scarce because so many members fall into the traditional progressive category.
Man have you seen some of the hit pieces publish against the Intellectual Dark Web? They're getting hit hard this week.
