Warm feeling but patronising euphemism often used by care givers, but also over-reaching government or voluntary agencies to describe a target group or audience who have not engaged with the intervention concerned. Almost always the target group are characterised as passive, ‘vulnerable’, or of possessing some other negative/weak quality, but in reality may be have full capacity and instead have no interest or benefit, or even hold strong objections to the intervention concerned

Hospital manager: The medical staff are proving difficult to reach in terms of my new and novel 1 monthly, all day infection and control mandatory training programme. What do you think Brad?
Second hospital manager: yea - I think we need to doc the pay and then sack anyone who does not realise the benefit of your life saving, new and wonderful programme Hank!

forced difficulty

When a game developer/level designer does not fully understand how to make levels difficult in a way that is not frustrating or questionably designed, and so throws together a bunch of hazards and poorly conceived design elements in order to force the level to be hard, at the cost of good game design. Typically associated with Super Mario Maker levels.

Putting a bunch of enemies all over the place to overwhelm the player is not good level design, it's forced difficulty.

Difficult Californian

An individual who is from California, most likely to be female, that migrates to another State to prey on the local peoples. They tend to get involved romantically with someone that is in that State. Because of their ties to California, they would rather not be in the new State. So after warming up to their prey, they decide to break their heart and leave. After leaving they try to deny all feelings they expressed in that State as if nothing ever happened. Resulting in emotional distress in both the Californian and the prey.

Beware to those that are Asian, clever, has a nice body, or name is Brandon (especially Brandon, studies have shown they have a thing for Brandon's)

Difficult Californian: Good thing there is a 3 hour timezone difference between us!

Person: What it is 5 hours. Your ridiculous!!

Difficult Californian: Shut-up your stupid.*HICCUP* Excuse me.

Person: Man its like clockwork.
