A term used in reference to newspaper headlines printed in bold face type, which are outright lies. Such headlines are only intended to sell newspapers, not to publish truth.

Although Truman won the election, the newspaper headline proclaimed "DEWEY WINS" before the election results were official. At best it was wishful thinking; at worst it was a bold face lie. So much for the credibility of the news media.

The Bold and the Beautiful is a sappy soap opera that has been around 30ish years. This show airs every weekday for middle-aged moms at 1:30 pm est. This show can be confusing at first but once you begin waiting you will be sucked into the absurd plot and love triangles which borderline incest at times. Watch as they stand with paperwork and listen to conversations because no one apparently knows how to lock a door after 30 years.

This show has it all: fashion, money, drama, unrealistic body goals, stereotypes.
