ek dum barabir?

Following the popularity of a flash-oriented website called Fanta Shokata, which featured clips of East Indian movies which u can add your own subtitles and give it your own meaning. In one clip, a character says "Ek Dum, Barabir?" Which sounded like he was saying "Whats up, Barabir?" or something similar. So it is semi-popularly used to say hey or whats up among Montreal youth.

when you call someone and they pick up "Ek Dum, Barabir??" or "Ek Dum!!"

This phrase says what it means, and means what it says. It can be used in place of anything really, usually a phrase, but can be used in place of a word. Also good for when one wants to use a more colorful word or phrase but is in mixed company.
