Trad

(Adj) demonstrating traditional values; in some cases with an accompanying traditional image that's physiognomy is communicative of said traditional values. Generally used in reference to Western Christian values and associated with being "based" and offending "progressive" minded folk.

Patrick: Wow Natalia got trad all the sudden after she fell in love.

Internet obsessed subculture of young people disenchanted with the ills of the modern world. They are a bit like hippies—if the hippies decided that embracing old fashioned clothes, hobbies, political positions, gender roles, and so forth was the most effective way to rebel against the dehumanizing aspects of modern society. In reality, a lot of trad subculture is purely performative and contradictory—as might be expected of an anti-modern movement that exists mostly on… the internet.

Trad wife

A woman who lives a traditional lifestyle in which the man or husband is the provider and protector, and the woman or wife is responsible for maintaining the household, and raising their children.

Sometimes used as a slur for a woman who is anti-feminist, or does not ascribe to the "boss babe" mentality.

Lacey stopped hanging out with us every weekend. She has totally become a trad wife.

Joe Trad

The guy who - shu esmu - consumes choco booms at a velocity of 11 booms/s. He immitates cricket players and attacks Indian classmates with racially motivated philosophical questions. He has an ability to stop time itself by engaging it in a staring competition which he has never lost. Some days, he is so happy.
