Race shaming

Making a human being of any race, feel ashamed, guilty, or at fault; for something that happened in the world, in which they have no control over.

After being pulled over for running a red light, I was let off with a warning. Later at work I told this story to my coworker. ( I am white and she is mixed) She immediately took my story, and made it all about her. She spent 10 minutes race shaming me, claiming it was only due to my race that I was let off with a warning. While if the tables were turned, she would’ve had to fear for her life from the police officer.

Query Shaming

The act of characterizing someone's SQL queries as inefficient.

Our database administrator (DBA) while reporting on why our server was slow proceeded to engage in some query shaming Ted's queries.
In today's staff meeting our DBA spoke directely to Ted in order to query shame him about some of the queries he had written.

Donation Shaming

Donation shaming is the act of shaming a person's donation calling it "small" compared to their own net-worth in belief they should donate larger amounts.

Person 1: Wow billionaire (name here) only donated 999 million but they are worth a trillion!
