This word wouldn't exist if "metro" didn't happen to rhyme with "retro." It's supposed to mean the opposite of a "metrosexual," which makes it another superfluous word since we already have a word for the opposite of a metrosexual called "straight."

retrosexual

A man who adheres to traditional values and natural roles for men and women. He does his own thing based on moral carachter and integrity , and does not bend to pressures of political correctness. He knows how to turn a wrench, does not become squeamish over sweaty labor, and believes a man's work is a reflection of his name. He does not embrace homosexual, feminine or whoremongering proclivities as desireable or even natural. He respects women as the weaker vessel and still holds doors open for his lady or a stranger. He accepts and fully embraces traditional family values of the pre 60,s. His pockets have a wallet, knife, and maybe even a spark plug gap tool on his hey ring. He would rather be fishing, hunting, shooting, reloading ammo, than he would be at the mall. He may have a Confederate Battle Flag and could care less what you think or "how you feel about it". He is an old fashioned razor guy who prefers antique razors , brush and shaving soap and does not shave his body, legs, or chest like a girl. Fact is he knows the "feminine side" is a lie from the pits of hell. He is in fact a man the way God the Creator made man.

As the man in front of us opened the door for his wife you could tell he was a retrosexual. He sure is more manly than the girly man behind him.

Rexsexual acts as a modifier to one's sexuality. For instance if you were straight but displayed Rexsexual habits you could be described as Straight with Rexsexual tendencies.

Synonym : Artetasexual, Arteta Fanboy
This is a word used by Mikel Arteta Outers to describe a person who is overly support and overpraise the current Arsenal FC manager, Mikel Arteta. Several Tetasexuals go as far as praising him to belittle the legacy of the previous manager of the club, Arsene Wenger for no good reason. They're sometimes as terrible as Wenger Outers.

Thinking of the girls he had known when young, the old man could still get momentarily horny. But he never had such feelings about women he didn't know and lust after in the past, and had no desire to reconnect with those he did, except in his memories of them; in the bloom of their youth.

Retrosexual

A male who is the epitome of polar opposite of a metrosexual. One who embraces, trucks, flannel, thinks Eddie Bauer is Haute Cotour, member of the NRA, thinks Bush is SMRT, and believes Capitalism is the American Way. Doesnt know his way around a kitchen other than to find a refridgerator, and a microwave. The slogan "If you cant NUKE it, its not worth eating" is the mantra of the day.Dont forget a can opener to eat his Chef Boyardee Ravioli out of the can. MIGHT remember to bring his wife flowers on their anniversary or her birthday. Probably had 1- 2 kids, wife stays at home, she cooks, he fixes the house. A testosterone filled male void of human emotion, except when they try to pry the gun from his cold, dead, hands. Choice of music is 80's hair bands, and classic 80's pop music, as long as it's not too prissy.

I consider my office mate a retrosexual!
