Ohlolo

Generally used as an expression of content, excitement and astonishment. In some situations, it may also illustrate empathy or pity after an event. Some also use it as an informal farewell in emails and texts, to friends and relatives.

The term was first coined in the French speaking part of Switzerland, more specifically in Geneva.

(A): - Guys, I'm throwing a party tomorrow at my place!!
(B): - Ohlolo!

(A): - Hey, my girlfriend dumped me last night...

(B): - Ohlolo, sorry to hear mate.
