Ironic Poser Hipster

1. A person who dresses like a poser and also a hipster at the same time but fails to pull off either one well enough and thus ends up being ironic. They tend to wear tshirts that they buy from Threadless, converse shoes and skate shoes (particularly Vans). They also wear a lot of plaid.

2. Someone who is deliberately dressing as an ironic poser hipster for the sake of mocking actual ironic poser hipsters.
Ugh look at Amelie, she can't even dress like a poser - she's mixing in hipster in bad quantities, what an ironic poser hipster!

Christina always pulls off ironic poser hipster so ironically - she's super talented!

Ironic Racism

Making a joke about racism that is supposed to be witty and modern, but actually supports racism by dehumanizing a particular race for a laugh.
Some person: Did you hear about that party someone threw where a bunch of white college student dressed up in blackface? It was hilarious!

Some person 2: Eddie Izzard is hilarious... that party was just another example of ironic racism.

ironic idealism

The outer limit of postmodernism. Idealism viewed ironically. Does not cover ironic nihilism which is a form of ironic idealism but falls OUTSIDE of the limits of postmodernism. Consistent with postmodernism's idyllic denialism or its perception of idealism as unreachable or unattainable except through irony.
Hollywood films 1990-2010 contain themes of ironic idealism or idealism viewed ironically.
