A half-hearted or hasty review of something with results that are thrown together quickly - usually just to get someone off your back.

Boss: "Did you look into that anomaly yet?"
Worker: "I'm fix'n to start my invetigation now. I'll be done in 10 mins."

Inventigation

When the accused party "investigates" itself instead of allowing an outside investigation. Generally the results of the investigation are pre-determined by the investigating party to avoid responsibility.

US Army bombs hospital in Kunduz and refuses an independent investigation with Pres. Obama giving his blessing. The inventigation results were leaked 2 days before the official release, the day before 2015 Thanksgiving, and can you guess the results?

An incestigator is often the role of a social worker who after conducting many “investigations” and lacks fulfillment in life, but has not been trained to use common sense, instigates and incites violent fantasies into the minds of young children, employing psychological tactics to elicit fraudulent responses and reactions in families.

Heather, a social worker for the county, is an incestigator because she cannot conduct an accurate investigation without concluding that some form of incest must have occurred.
