Pulling a Forstride

Pulling a Forstride is the act of suddenly and dramatically abandoning a project after building up a community around it, and refusing to allow anyone else to pick up the torch to maintain or support it, lashing out/ignoring any offers from volunteers and fans.

Can also refer to any owner of abandonware who sits on it and keeps it forever abandoned and out-of-reach, usually for reasons of pride or overprotectiveness.

A: Super Fart Warriors IX keeps crashing. I'm trying to google a fix but can't find anything.

B: Good luck with that. The Devs are pulling a Forstride and nuked their whole GH repo last week. I heard they even sent cease and desist letters to any volunteers with access to the codebase.

A: Welp. There should still be some support somewhere.

B: Nope. The forums got nuked too.
