An overweight public school and Oxbridge educated cad who has mastered the use of error, omission, exaggeration, diminution, equivocation and flat denial. He has perfected casuistry, circumlocution, false equivalence and false analogy. He is equally adept at the ironic jest, the fib and the grand lie; the weasel word and the half-truth; the hyperbolic lie, the obvious lie, and bullshit.

Nora: ooh look…look it’s Boris Johnson on the telly again isn’t he charming and funny?

Jack: you silly mare …do t you know a big dosser when you see one? Now bring in the washing from the front yard before it stops raining again!

Dosser

A dosser is term commonly used the south-west of ireland to describe someone who doesn’t have a job, doesn’t want to do anything productive or anything to better their lives. A lot of these people live off social welfare payments (dole heads) to sit back and do nothing while their friends and family partake in education or employment.

A lot of dossers take drugs, drink alcohol, and complain about their dossery livelihoods all while doing absolutely nothing to change it.
