(Pronounced like the fish; "bahs")
Bass Acquisition Syndrome; originally Guitar Acquisition Syndrome (See "GAS"). GAS was a need for guitarists to constantly acquire more and more guitars, often despite quality; this has now evolved, causing a strain to effect bassists.
