A link is the technical name for 24Hz, which is to say "24 cycles per second". This is the standard block in animation; relating frames to a smooth animation (since there are 24 frames interpolated through one second of animation).

One minute (1,440 frames) of animation contains exactly 60 links .

A lurk link is a link to someone's myspace profile, for the purpose of whoever you are talking to being able to see who you are talking about. This is widely used in instant message conversations and myspace

link filtering

The act of asking "What's this?" before opening a link sent by a friend using a communication medium, such as AIM or text. This implies to your friend that sent the link that you either don't trust them, or you think their links are not interesting, usually telling them not to send you another link again, no matter how awesome it is. Also the friend wouldn't want to spoil the fun, so it gets them angry.
