A sketchy virus link that you accidentally click on and it makes you say “oops I didn’t mean to click on that link.”

A hyper-link that is claimed to be something that it isn't.
Say someone posts a link, and that link, the word "kangaroos", but the link actually takes you to a site about penguins. It's just link being Rick Rolled, except in a link, and can be much worse.

Documents that have unwanted and un-needed links that make it tough to edit or save in the cloud. Almost a guarantee the finance team have meddled...
This excel sheet is full of parasitic links, I'm giving it the booster shoot and sending back for cleaning

A term deeply rooted in the experiences of past and current employees of a company, highlighting the gap between enticing hiring promises—such as bonuses, specific supervisors, promotional opportunities and work locations—and the reality of continuous and abrupt organizational changes, unkept promises, and an unhealthy workplace. It underscores the act of being hoodwinked through deliberate discrepancies and a “rope-a-dope” strategy where deceit is used by some within the company to their advantage. Moreover, it points to the behavior of certain higher-level managers who disregard company policies, leading their departments as if running their “own show” and enforcing their direction, often to the detriment of their teams and contrary to the collective goals of the company. This hashtag is a stark warning against manipulative tactics and unilateral managerial decisions, serving as a call to action for awareness and caution in the face of manipulation and the importance of skepticism to avoid being misled by false promises and rogue leadership practices.
After discovering the stark difference between the job’s initial promises and the actual work duties and environment, Sally realized that she had been #linked.
