Pikeys is a word used for the rough, illegal types of gypsies. I believe that most gypsies are mis-understood - becoming the victims of cruel insults suggesting they are violent crooks. Infact, most modern day gypsies are simply honest, hard working travellers that would rather excape the rat-race and live more simply. I am very close to gypsy and have realised his way of life is based on simply enjoying a free spirited life in an honest way.
