PDP

A document that your manager asks you to do as an agreement to capture your professional development . Usually contains goals, outcomes and a myriad of bullshit that you as an employee must include organisation beliefs, values and other useless information that is irrelevant to your job. You are usually pushed in the direction that your manager wants you to go. You have to admit you have no career aspirations. The PDP can be used to performance manage you meaning sack you for not meeting the bullshit within it. In essence a PDP is a total crock of shit. 1. a document to prove that management is doing something 2. a tick box exercise so management can justify their existence 3. a document that can be used to undermine the employee. 4. The initiation of process where an employee is held accountable for managements failings. 5. A total waste of time as what 6. An opertunity for management to learn all about your personal life ans disclose nothing about theirs.

Manager, dear employee its time for your annual PDP review / creation. This is an opertunity for you to reach your career aspirations. Employee option 1 (usually experience employee)under his her breath.
