Text Jam

When you text multiple people who all end up texting back, making it hard to reply to messages as you keep getting interrupted by incoming texts.

I texted an invite to Josh, Lee, Brian, and a bunch of girls to this party, and when Josh asked me details I kept getting text jammed. It took me like twice as long to reply.

text reflex

When you send or respond to a text without fully thinking about the consequences of doing so. Similar to drunk texting but you're completely sober. Its more just plain impulsive

Example 1:

Father: You stayed out too late at that party last night; you're grounded for the next week
Son: Fuck you old man!
Father: make that the next month
Son: C'mon dad, that was my text reflex!

Example 2:

Texter Dude 1: Hey baby, you wanna go hookup behind the bleachers?

Texter Chick 1: Hell no you creeper! WTF is up with u? Drunk?
Texter Chick 1's friend: Yah, that was his text reflex

Zalgo text is digital text that has been modified with combining characters (Unicode symbols that are generally used to stack diacritics above and below letters) to appear creepy or glitchy.

Named for a 2004 Internet creepypasta story that ascribes it to the influence of an eldritch deity, Zalgo text has become a significant component of many Internet memes, particularly in "surreal meme" culture. Pavlovian Texting

The phenomenon occuring in groups of people when one person in the group reaches for their cell phone to receive a message, text, etc thereby causing all other members of the group to also check their phones for messages.

Bob: Did you see everyone else look at their phone when my text tone went off? Pavlovian Texting at it's finest.

Joe Bob: Yeah. What a bunch of Pavlovuan texters.

rogue text

When someone recieves a text with no body just from who sent it.

When you send an empty text message to someone by accident.

Mary: *opens phone and sees a text from Mario with nothing in it*
Mario: Sorry i didn't mean to send you a blank text!
Mary: Why you sending me a rogue text!
