Guerrant

A family name, derrived from the a french background. This family goes far back, many descendents are doctors, lawyers, teachers, musicians, and other succesful career-makers. This name is shared with both caucasion and african-american heritages, due to the fact that earlier Guerrant generations owned slaves. When it came time to free their slaves, since the Guerrant families treated their enslaved workers with great kindness, the african-american slaves adopted the Guerrant name, which was a sign of great honor.
