The phenomenon occuring in groups of people when one person in the group reaches for their cell phone to receive a message, text, etc thereby causing all other members of the group to also check their phones for messages.

Bob: Did you see everyone else look at their phone when my text tone went off? Pavlovian Texting at it's finest.

Joe Bob: Yeah. What a bunch of Pavlovuan texters.

When you send an empty text message to someone by accident.
