Pride Flag

A flag used by the LGBT community to represent a gender or sexual identity

Examples of pride flags:

• The rainbow flag uses red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple stripes (🏳️ 🌈)

• The transgender pride flag uses pink, blue and white stripes

• The pansexual pride flag uses pink, blue and yellow stripes

During the month of June, the streets will be lined with pride flags.

Straight Pride

When straight cisgender people -- sometimes even allies -- don't understand the reasons behind LGBTQ+ pride and then come to the conclusion that because a highly oppressed minority has a month that they can feel proud of themselves for being themselves, that cishets should too.

"Hey, why isn't there straight pride? I mean, we deserve love too!"
"But everyone knows that you deserve love. Pride is because LGBTQ+ people have been shamed and killed, even today."

1. (Proper Noun) A rare to very rare surname, originating from the Brittany region of France, dialectually meaning "Swamp" or "Marshland". Possibly adapted from the more common "Plourde." It is said that all individuals with this surname are distanctly related due to the seldomness of having it, but that remains a challenged debate.

Corona Pride and Prejudice

When some corrupt countries boast about their homegrown oft-half-baked coronavirus vaccines, which even the locals are reluctant or refuse to take, because they were approved while they were still being trialed among a questionable number of human guinea pigs.

Even as China, India, and Russia are keen to offer their vaccines free of charge, or sell them at a lower price, to a number of developing countries, millions of their citizens whose leaders bragged about their “cheap-and-cheat” vaccines are guilty of corona pride and prejudice.
