A popular app used by millions. Tik Tok was originally an app called “Musical.ly”, an app were you could make short videos of you lip singing. It then transition into Tik Tok after they had bought Musical.ly. Tik Tok is full of short videos of, dancing, memes, songs, challenges, pranks, cosplayers, and more.

A social media platform where people can share short video clips with each other. It's similar to Musical.ly except you can make videos that aren't related to music.

It's a terrible platform mainly because it destroys users' privacy and gives insane amounts of data to the Chinese government. It silently censors you if you post content critical of the Chinese govt or if you are poor, disabled, conventionally unattractive, or lgtbq. Don't use it, there's nothing you can find on it that you can't find on another site

Redditors hate Tik Tok because they dislike seeing kids do cringey dances. I hate Tik Tok because it's a Chinese data farm that throws marginalized people under the bus. We are not the same
