Item Abuse (SMM2)

Item Abuse in SMM/SMM2 is vastly different than the three ROM-hacks created by PangaeaPanga. Item Abuse in Super Mario Maker is mainly focused on holdable "Items" that are in the game. It ranges from Shell Jumps and Midair Item tricks, to extremely difficult item juggling levels.

terrain abuse

In video games, an annoying-to-deal-with way to play against others in a combat-oriented/fighting game in which a player uses the terrain to their advantage, for example jumping on platforms to gain the high ground.

It isn't really "abuse", just the USE of terrain, but due to how annoying and unfair it is, people call it abuse.

Legal mod abuse

When mods of a Discord server troll people in a way that is technically not against the rules.

Example 1:
> "Jab just gave me the 'go to ultrakill land' role, now I can't talk except in the #ultrakill channel!"
> "It's legal mod abuse so you can't complain about it."

Example 2:
> "Why do muted users get locked out of the server but can talk in that one channel?"
> "It's so mods and other people can make fun of them, it's legal mod abuse."

Example 3:
> "my nick has been changed to 'short people fucker' what the hell"

Overall a person who shamelessly harrasses a girl / makes her uncomfortable in a way where she’s cornered and can’t actively do anything to get away from them

Back when we were kids, we played football in our neighborhoods with no helmets, pads, or rules and it wasn't abuse, it was a good time. A kid that went home from a soccer game or a baseball game with a few bruises or called a few names had a good time that day. Some people want to turn these kids in this generation into the same mollycoddles they were as kids by calling everything abuse. They don't even give a fuck about these kids, but they want their public service narrative to read that they are keeping them out of harms way.

Calling kids coming home with bruises after a sports game abuse is robbing them of their childhoods. Just like kids are supposed to fight, they are supposed to kick each other playing soccer.
