Fat Shaming

When someone purposely pokes fun at another person for their weight (who is often legitimately fat. Under the scenario the victim is not of an unhealthy weight, than the attacker is either a hater, troll, and/or has a very strange sense of fat). Can either be a pathetic excuse for not losing some weight and becoming healthier or a legitimate attack.

Fat Shaming used as an excuse:
Mary: Jessica, I think you should lose some weight; right now, you're 1000 pounds and you do nothing but sit inside your house and eat cheese cake after cheese cake after cheese cake.
Jessica: OMG HOW DARE YOU CALL ME FAT I'M JUST BIG BONED YOU JUST WANT MY CURVES WELL REAL WOMEN HAVE CURVES YOU STICK THIN SLUT
Mary: ...

Legitimate Fat Shaming:
Mary: Ugh! Look at that fat ass Jessica, she does nothing but sit around all day! No one loves her, and she's such a fat lard!
Jessica: *has bulimia, binge eating disorder*
Mary: Oh well fuck that she's just using that as an excuse to stay on her fat ass all day

travel shaming

The subtle but often times very overt manner in which one attempts to make another feel guilty or inferior for not traveling (or for not wanting to travel) to the popular destination(s) of the day.

Me - I just took my family on a vacation to Hawaii for a week? What are your plans for vacation?
You - We're going to visit some places around town and just relax for a week.
Me - That's cool. Not everybody has the desire to experience something different nor do they have the money to afford to go to neat, exotic places.
You - No, that's not it at all. What's up with the travel shaming? I really don't find travel enjoyable, and am just looking forward to a week of decompressing and relaxing.
Me (sarcastically) - If you say so.

Slut Shaming

An unfortunate phenomenon in which people degrade or mock a woman because she enjoys having sex, has sex a lot, or may even just be rumored to participate in sexual activity. Often it's accompanied by urban legends such as the common virgin misconception that the vagina becomes larger or looser with use-- in fact, sex has no effect on vaginal size.

However, since most people would rather women be MORE sexually active than less, slut shaming is counterproductive to the aims of most men and quite a few ladies.

Guy 1: Ha ha Megan had sex with two guys, she's such a SLUT!

Guy 2: You idiot, do you want her to stop having sex? We should be encouraging this. Your slut shaming will simply discourage more women from sleeping with us and we will be virgins forever.
