Road Sense

Something not all people possess. The ability to utilise your common sense and drive responsibly. Usually obtained by being a safer driver and avoiding the Five Fatal Factors (speeding, drink/drug driving, seatbelt/helmet misuse, distraction & fatigue). Alternatively, can be obtained by attending a Road Sense Australia Ltd. driver training program.

Friend: Let’s go 120km in this 60km zone!

Me: Um No! That’s not very road sense!

*A short while later*

Friend: Damnit, I just got booked for doing 120km in a 60km zone.

Me: Dude. I told you not to do that. I’m never getting into a car with you again… go check out Road Sense’s Australia’s driver programs and learn some road sense.

The assertion that our disagreement comes from MY failure to comprehend information. It's not that it doesn't make sense to me it's that Leviticus IS a slavery and animal sacrifice instruction manual. It outlines exactly how it wants you to treat slaves and it tells you exactly how many animals you have to kill to forgive sin. I'm not failing to understand anything. I think I made a fallacy out of that? Did we ever find out if that was already a thing or not? Argumentum ad Comprehendum? Is there already one that is like that? New fallacy! Common Sense

Widespread, socially acceptable lies. It is used mainly by older people to insult people they disagree with.

"Too many illegal immigrants? Deport them all. Too many gang problems? Go buy a gun and shoot at them. Bad economy? Just cut the food stamp and all those welfare bulls***. That's just common sense."

"Climate changes all the time. I don't know why common sense is no longer common anymore."
