Mediocre baseball team in the American Leauge West division. Located in Seattle Washington.

Have a strong season every now and then, but overall plauged by bad management and cheap ownership.

As of late they have become notorious for starting off strong and fizzling out towards the end of the season.

The Mariners are a team from Seattle.

Marine Girlfriend

A female, preferably human, who is dating a United States Marine. The typical Marine Girlfriend has a shelf life of about 8 months. They initially gain some bragging rights and respect-by-proxy from dating a Marine but after several 45 day field ops outside of cellphone range and only ever seeing him on every other weekend they will usually lose interest fast. The overwhelming majority of Marine girlfriends will desert their post about 3 months into any overseas deployment leaving their Marine to forge ahead with the people who REALLY love him, his brothers in arms.

Chick: MARINE GIRLFRIEND! ITS THE HARDEST JOB IN THE CORPS!
