Its gas operated (means the gas takin from a shot round comes back to throw the bolt back for all u idiots out there) and its chamberd at 5.56 x 45mm. This rifle has an effective range of 500 meters for a point target and 700 meters for an area target. Has many varients such as the M4A1 and can be equiped with the M203 grenade launcher.
