A third person shooter for the PSP that is known for its insanely intricate and awesome online play. You play as a Navy SEAL and fight around the world in areas and kill terrorist and bad guys.

SOCOM ftb2 has a social networking element to it like no other game, you WILL meet life long friends from this game and pwn n00bs with them in a clan tell the day you die. Its super addicting and no matter how many times you attempt to rid yourself of the strange obsession you will go back wanting more wishing you never stopped. Everyone knows everyone in this game and clans become your new family members as you build more members, you will have rivalry's and alliances like no other place on earth. You've got your buddy's back like the bullets are real and you never leave a teamate behind and always "revive" him. SOCOM ftb2 is the fucking shit, pwns every other shooter.

Socony

The Standard Oil Company of New York, S.O.Co.N.Y., or simply Socony, was one of thirty-four independent companies broken up from the monopoly that was Standard Oil, as ordered by the U.S. Supreme Court. Socony merged with Vaccuum Oil bringing about Socony-Vacuum. Later they changed the name to Socony Mobil Oil Company, then to just Mobil Oil Corporation. Finally, they merged with Exxon in 1999 into the current ExxonMobil.

Socony is the originating company to ExxonMobil.

SOCOM

Special Operations Command. Established in the early nineties to improve interservice operability. Lessons were take from the failure of 'Desert One' in 1980 in the Iranian Desert, Operation Urgent Fury in Grenada, and Operation Just Cause. It is headquarted at MacDill Air Force Base in Florida and include the U.S Army Special Forces, U.S Navy Seals, U.S Air Force Special Operations, and as of mid 2004, Marine Detachment One or MARDET 1 is the USMC contribution to the Command. Further information can be found at socom.mil. On another note, computer geeks and other JACK OFFs consistently refer to the Playstation video game without making reference to the roots of the Acronym.

Socom Doo

A matted down stripe of hair on the top of your head that comes as a result of wearing a headset used to play online games for hours and hours.
