A female's secondary male option in a relationship. The secondary guy is neither her boyfriend or husband. He is usually someone who fulfills the void in a current relationship in terms of emotional support, venting, and in some situations, sex. For the side-guy, it is not possible to rely on her love because she is always open to the possibility that there might be someone out there who can love her in a better way. Her husband or boyfriend does not know of the side-guy. The husband or boyfriend is used for the feeling of safety, stability, and security in life. At any moment the female could potentially promote the Side Guy to Husband or Boyfriend or cut tithes with the side-guy
