Somewhat common personality disorder. Symptoms include not trusting people, holding grudges with ease, and taking jokes much too seriously.
Pros: No one can get you! Muahaha!
Cons: Hard to talk to people without you thinking they're gonna get you.

That guy over there keeps looking over his shoulder. He obviously suffers from paranoia.

Paranoia Agent

An excellent anime series on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim. This follows a group of people in modern day Tokyo who have all been attacked by a mysterious boy deemed Lil' Slugger. They all identify the boy as having golden rolloerblades and a golden baseball bat, bent at a 45 degree anlge (described on the show as "like a dog's leg"). All of these victims share the common trait of being under extreme pressure, trauma and stress at the time of their attack, and all of them have their problem temporally solved after they have been attacked. Each character has it's own sub-plot, and each character ties to the others due to the attacks of Lil Slugger. There are also two detectives working on solving the case. Paranoia Agent is a cerebral, vague and often confusing anime show, but if you take the time to understand the show's subtle plot clues, it is well worth it.

I used to stay up for Adult Swim to see InuYasha, Cowboy Bebop and Trigun.. but now I just want to see more of Paranoia Agent.

Virus Paranoia

being paranoid about your computer getting a virus. A person with Virus Paranoia will scan everything downloaded before opening it and will remove anything an anti virus detects without regard that it may just be a false positive.

my friend's virus paranoia caused her removed a program that was safe because her anti virus found it questionable.

pothole paranoia

The extreme fear of running over a pothole. Habits of those with this affliction include driving under the speed limit, swerving frequently to avoid any cracks or bumps in the road, and taking alternative routes despite an increased commute. This usually sets in shortly after blowing a tire when running over a pothole.

Joe: Why were you guys late for work today?

Mike: Jeff took a strange route and drove under the speed limit the whole way.

Joe: Pothole paranoia claims another victim.

Let’s face it.. people are shitty. Not everyone. Definitely the “karens”.. But stay a “little” skeptical until otherwise proven wrong. Or just get rid of your cell phone, grow a garden and never leave your dwelling.

A disease that afflicts me and made me think for 3 years of my life that my left leg was longer than my right leg. Every time my phone rings I think it is the FBI. And every time my doorbell rings I think it is a giant purple dinosaurs that eats children.
