Splash Marketing

Splash Marketing. noun. This is the effective use of contemporary social media to put forth a product or service. It is the OPPOSITE of spamming your friends on their social media to buy your items or services. Its a concise, directed approach as opposed to "HI NAME IS BLAH BLAH and I made BLAH BLAH BLAH, contact me at BLAHBLAHBLAH" posted over and over. Its a more subtle approach to building a brand by posting pictures, and letting your audience in a bit more into your personal life. When people feel more connected to you as an artist, people are more comfortable spending more money more often.

Splash marketing is a way to gently let your friends, and thus their friends know that you are available with a valuable resource and your instantly accessible when they need you.

ocean marketing (also spelled "ocean marketting")

A marketing faux pas/way of business where you don't take care of your customers as well as treat them like shit, and sooner or later a berated customer gets vocal, shit hits the fan, the PR goes viral, and in a matter of hours your business and name is kicked to the curb by your industry.

Paul Christoforo, who ran ocean marketing (also spelled "ocean marketting"), berated a customer in an email convo, after O.M. wouldn't tell him when his video game controller purchase would arrive. The customer then sent the email convo to Mike Krahulik, a big name in the gaming industry (PAX convention organizer and penny-arcade.com co-creator) who posted it, effectively ruining O.M.'s chance of working in the industry again.

Marceline

The coolest chick you will ever meet. She will take you on wild adventures that you never knew you wanted to go on. She will make your heart melt with all the joy she brings to peoples hearts. She has her friend's and family's back always and will never leave anyone behind. Just don't break a Marceline's heart or else it won't be pretty. People will try to bring a Marceline down but its only because they are jealous of how amazing she is. A Marceline will always know how to cheer up her friends the best way she knows how taking them on a adventure of wonder.

vector marketing

an evil branch of the cutco company that uses college and high school grad students as fodder to sell its products, via by first pushing the product on to their friends and family by playing the guilt card and eventually if possible friends of friends until they ran out of people. While it is possible to make money by doing this but the grand majority of us won't due to fuel cost and other factors

vector marketing's base play looks awesome but if you really take time and do the math it's not really worth it
