Get the boompa mug.BLOODPAINTER. Name coined by Australian artist Dr.Rev.Mayers
A.K.A. Dr Rev Bloodpainter. Who creates hyper realistic portraits of people like Korn’s Jonathan Davis using only his blood, tools he custom makes, and airbrushes.
Holding a few crazy records.
Beinv the first person to be surgically attached to his airbrush painting a portrait with the airbrush sucking blood directly from his artery. With a very real chance of death this was only done twice, with medical supervision for a discovery channel documentary.
Another was a protest against the mundane contemporary art scene and lack of talent. So he stood in front of a canvas infront of a live 12 gauge shotgun, with a string around the trigger, belt out his arm and fired. This left an outline of blood powder and lead shot around his hand reminiscent of Aboriginal rock art. If not with a darker modern twist.
Since Dr Rev’s rise many artists have followed in his steps, taking human blood art in new directions.
