The process of transformation of a minivan from a family friendly unit of transportation to a vehicle used for escape for partying, shagging, or camping. Commonly done through attrition of children aging and graduating from grammar school to high school and then eventually to college or the real world.

John and Lind's minivan underwent a very rapid vanomorphosis in just a matter of 2 years. It went from a transporting kids to school functions and soccer games to being a portable rager, shag machine, and camper for high schoolers to a Drivers Ed training vehicle before ultimately becoming a Cheech-Mobile.
