The set up to a joke; when one asks what it is, it sounds like, "What's Up Dog" to which you reply, "Not Much, You?" Or something like that. The joke became wildly popular due to it's use in a 2006 episode of The Office called, "The Secret".

Updog is a joke like Ligma or Bofa in which one person would ask for updog or ask if they know what updog is and the receiver will reply with ("What's updog?") and will be utterly disappointed when they fell for that obvious joke.
