Roblox (most common I think) - An obstacle course. Examples: Mega Fun Obbies, Tower of Hell, JToH, etc

Minecraft - Short for obsidian. Commonly used in Minecraft Faction Servers like Bedwars.

Person A (at the top): Come on guys this obby isn't THAT hard. You can do it. Just imagine doing a bunch of Mega Fun Obby stages without dying or falling. THAT's what this game is.

Newbie (no offense to anyone): Bruh I can't do this I need checkpoints to do this

Person A: Welp, not my fault that you don't have the stamina. Not every obby will carry you through with checkpoints.

Bedwars Obsidian Users: I'm not good enough to face off against the PvP pros on that other team we're going to get some emeralds to buy some Obsidian it's our only hope

PvP Pros: *breaks through the wool of the enemies' bed protection* Oh god damn it more obby users we're gonna lose

*PvP Pros gets their bed destroys and loses to the obby users*

Obby users: THANK OUR LORD AND SAVIOR OBSIDIAN THAT WE WON LET'S GOOO
