Someone who sells a share a long way before its true value has been realised. Usually because they're panicked by a temporary fall in the market. Always relates to a private investor, and a specialised definition of numpty is when institutional investors are buying, but the private investors (the numpties) are selling.

Plural form of the word numpty. If you collect enough together you can form an SWS UK. When correctly abused they will produce oh oh spaghetti ohs which will result in products being not completely ready.
