mouse moment

A period in someone’s life when they simply eat alone. They have no person at that time to eat with… Which isn’t sad, it’s just their mouse moment; this moment is neither sad, happy, infuriating, nor is it disappointing. It’s just someone getting by through life.

I was halfway through my rice ball in my car which was parked in a random neighborhood, when I realized I was going through a mouse moment.

A reference to Arrested Development

When the title or description of a situation, video, location, or anything tells you exactly what to expect but still, you're surprised even though you definitely should have seen it coming.

Michael opens the refrigerator and sees a paper bag with "DEAD DOVE Do Not Eat" written on it. He opens the bag anyway and, there is, in fact, a dead dove inside and he says to himself, "I don't know what I expected."

gorecki-moment

A truly rare and special moment in one's life when everything you have previously experienced seems to lead to this moment. Named after song Górecki (sometimes spelled Gorecki) from Lamb's self-titled debut album. As former Lamb's singer Lou Rhodes puts it: "Those moments are like a kind of vortex; as if life led to them and also life starts from them. They have a timelessness and there's a feeling (...) that life could end right there and be complete."

Lying next to her gazing deep in her eyes felt fantastic. I almost had one of these gorecki-moments.
