Ji-riki

A term in karate which refers to the power of each individual that emanates from within oneself. Miyamoto Mushashi (a famous expert swordsman and ronin) believed that ji-riki could be cultivated and empowered through constant effort and training.

You can cultivate ji-riki once you have trained with passion and discipline, but you must continue to do so every day.

Chon-Ji

Chon-Ji literally means 'Heaven and Earth'. In the Orient it is interpreted as the creation of the world or the beginning of human history, therefore it is the initial pattern played by the beginner. This pattern consists of two similar parts, one to represent the Heaven and the other the Earth.

Bo-Ji

Upon direct translation, it means 'No Seed' in the Hokkien language, literally. 'Seed' here, is referred to 'Testicles'. This is used on a male person who appears to be a coward or, being afraid to do anything. This slang is usually used in Singapore and some parts of Malaysia.

"Hey John, why don't you just ask Mary out on a date? You Bo-Ji huh?!"
