inner city

A term used in the United States referring to a place in a large city that is mostly populated by poor minorities. It has nothing to do with the actual inner part of a city, and generally refers to a wedge-shaped area within the city limits that separates the downtown area from the suburbs, such as the Bronx in NYC, the South and West Sides of Chicago, Dorchester and Roxbury in Boston, and South Central Los Angeles.

The inner part of a city is the downtown area, but the part that is called "inner city" is the outside part.

Inanimate Insanity

Inanimate Insanity is an object show running since 2011 on YouTube, created by Animation Epic. It originally was simply another object show heavily inspired by BFDI and followed a fairly narrow storyline, but in its second season, the lore and relationships between characters has deepened greatly to weave a complex and beautiful arc. Episodes typically take over a year to produce, however.

I hope Knife wins Inanimate Insanity II.

inner nerd

The nerdy part of a person's personality. Includes any geeky or dorky qualities that may be hidden from the outer world. For example, one's inner nerd may become excited about science fiction novels.

It is probably healthiest to learn to accept and love your inner nerd. So what if you like science fiction books and documentaries on marsupials. That's what makes you unique!
