Hint and Hope - when someone wants another person to do something specific, or change behavior, but is unwilling to address the issue directly. Regularly used in relationships

John: 'Mary is going out with her work colleagues tomorrow. They suck! I just want her to come home and cook dinner for me so I told her I'd get in a bottle of her favorite wine, help with the washing up and gave her a hug'

Jack: 'No way is that hint and hope going to work, man! Just tell her not to go out with that boring load of ****s'

Hinthuja

A one-in-a-million girl, who can’t be replaced by any other. There’s never a dull moment with her, you can watch her do nothing without getting bored, she’s just beautiful inside and out. Such a child at heart but the maturest person you’ll know (somehow). She’s very smart and good with her words. Although she looks intimidating, she’s the one that cries at the movies, rereads messages, falls for fictional guys-such a softie. She’s the type that gets along with everyone in your family from your siblings to your parents, they’ll all love her. Consider yourself lucky if you got close to a Hinthuja, but once you’re close, she’ll be loyal to you forever. She’ll do anything to make sure you’re happy and never feeling down but don’t forget to keep her smiling :)

Everyone needs a Hinthuja in their lives.

When your sitting alone (at work, on a plane, home or anywhere) listening to your music through headphones and someone comes over and starts to talk to you and you don't remove your headphones because you don't wish to talk to them.

Marie: *At work on her computer* "Music music music."

Rachel: "Hi Marie, how's it going today? So, omg I'm so worried about..."

Marie: *Looking directly at Rachel* "Music music music."

Rachel: "Marie? Hello?"

Marie: "Music music music." *Turns back to computer*

That is a headphone-hint.

To ask someone on a date only once they've known for complete certainty that the potential date will say, "Yes" despite the most obvious clues and signals.
Even when equipped with such knowledge, he or she will hesitate, relying on the potential date's best friend for advice and counselling.

Guy 1: I don't know if I should ask you on a date...like I'm 250% you like me but...stilll...I'm going to need some more reassurance...

Girl 1: Dude, I will say YES, pick you up from your house, take you out to dinner, pay for our meals, maybe get some M&Ms, drive you back to your house, and tuck you in for your 8 p.m bed time.

the iconic moment in nickelodeon history when tori vega and jade west (also known as victoria justice and elizabeth gillies) completely SNAPPED and humiliated men with tOxiC mAsCuLiNiTy that were harassing them. the girls’ exquisite musical talent permitted them to have the power (wow their influence) to make them leave. thats what’s called POWERFUL FEMALE ROLES!! they sang this masterpiece of a song to make the weird boys stop bothering them.
