It could be a food that you get excited for every time someone makes it for you, or when you see an actor you really like in a trailer for an upcoming film (not to be confused with problematic fave, unless you have poor taste in perennial faves).

Me: "More like problematic fave, but ok".
Her: "I'm making Empire Cookies for Christmas again this year."
