Fanboys is a 2009 comedy film directed by Kyle Newman and starring Sam Huntington, Chris Marquette, Dan Fogler, Jay Baruchel and Kristen Bell. It was released in the United States on February 6, 2009, and in Canada on April 3, 2009.
The story is about on October 31, 1998, Eric Bottler (Sam Huntington) reunites with his old high school buddies Linus (Chris Marquette), Hutch (Dan Fogler), Windows (Jay Baruchel) and Zoe (Kristen Bell) at a Halloween party.
There is tension between Bottler and his old friends, due to Bottler being the only one that matured since high school. Bottler, now a successful car salesman, finds that his friends have not changed a bit since high school; the number one thing they still have in common is their love of Star Wars (and at one point the group become quietly enraptured while watching Stargate SG-1 on television).
The gang expresses their anticipation for the latest installment to the franchise, Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace. Linus proposes an idea that Bottler and he had been plotting since they were children: to infiltrate Skywalker Ranch and steal a rough cut of the film.

Get the Fanboys(2009 film) mug.A title apparantly given to fans of the "Final Fantasy" series who favor the 7th installment above the rest. Has risen about after the frustration caused by the 'overhype' of Final Fantasy 7, a game which partly defined our gamers and gaming (industry) today.
This term was one individual's label for the enormous mass of fans who sometimes ignorantly and obnoxiously plague the internet with thier annoyance while arising arguments from frustarted gamers with opposing views. The difference between a Final Fantasy 7 fan and a Final Fanboy 7 is, in most cases, one-sided ignorance.

Because it was my introduction to the series, and probably because it was the darkest of all the "Final Fantasies" I am a loyal fan to the game(FF7). However, because I am not pron to spam forums with ignorant and one-sided messages such as: Cloud/Sephiroth/Tifa is the Coolest/Hottest FF character EVER!!! I am not a Final Fanboy 7.

Get the Final Fanboy 7 mug.A fanboy is any person who is the unthinking pawn of a major label/brand. A fanboy is just about the most annoying creature on earth, particularly in the heated debate of Mac vs. PC or in the realm of politics. They tend to be really irrational, and unwilling to look at both sides of the debate: repeating things by rote and being completely partisan. Also, the typical fanboy is totally uninformed and biased to a precedent, hence the repetition of rote sayings or facts/myths.
Mac fanboy says "Apple can do anything! Even make an edible iphone, if only to prove they can do anything!!!!"
PC fanboys says "PC for the win!"/"Mac's may crash less but their crashes are worse!"
both tend to be dumbasses

He was fanboying in front of that artist. It took the three of us to drag him away from there.
Whenever I fanboy it's like I go into a trance and I block off everything around me.

Get the Fanboying mug.A single-layered thinking drone originally thought to exist in only small numbers. To help them assimilate into the real world, a computer with only simple functions so that the drones don't get confused was created. Eventually, more products were produced after it was discovered that the number or drones are in the millions. While scientists have been unable to find ways to increase brain performance in this species, a corporation named "Apple" has had financial success in at least convincing that the drone specimen is vastly superior to that of everything else.

Get the Apple fanboy mug.An individual who thinks that XBox, Star Wars, comic books, action figures, TV shows, and so on are life-or-death matters that require zealotry. Such behaviors go far beyond merely being a hobby or favorite pastime. These individuals feel that social skills are not required, and see no problem with becoming hysterical over meaningless issues. They often falsely believe that they are simply showing their "inner geek", as if their behaviors are charming and a source of enjoyable humor. They also often think they are clever, and that others "just don't get it". Fanboys frequently show the characteristics of an arrogant, pseudo-intellectual, going on for hours in a droning monologue.
"Dude, that guy on Lost last night got owned! Dude!"
"You are such a fanboy, dude!"
"Am not! YOU are the fanboy, dude!"
