You’re breaking up!

That handy “go-to” excuse one can use to effectively conclude an annoying conversation when speaking on a cell phone, whether it’s true or not.

It’s a pretty clear cue to me when my husband uses, “You’re breaking up!” when we’re both talking on land lines that we’ve reached the end of the conversation!

Break Up Fart

The fart that is the grounds for ending a relationship.

May be loud, silent, smelly, in public or in private.

Gerald: *pfffftt!*
Marcy: "I swear if you fart one more time then it's over. It will be the break up fart"

Later that evening......

Gerald: *poot*
Marcy: "That's it I'm outta here!"
Gerald: "please baby I'm sorry take me back!"

The ending of a relationship whereby the parties, rather than agree to terminate the relationship, simply stop talking to/lose contact with each other, and nothing is done to rememdy the situation.

"When my girlfriend and I went to different universities, we never really said "It's over", we just kinda stopped talking. It was a commonwealth break-up."

break-up residue

All that stuff you find around the house after a break-up that's not yours. Depending on how cordial the break-up is, this will either require either a phone call/text to the ex to let them know your found more of their stuff OR another trip to the dumpster!

I kicked my boyfriend out two weeks ago and am still finding break-up residue in my house!
