They have obviously never seen a rower before. Or tried rowing. Rowing is the sport that makes you consider cliff diving or bungee jumping. There are no off days in rowing and if there are or it seems like there are you’re in the wrong place. When you get home from practice there is no lemme go on a quick run and do a quick abb workout. There’s owwww ummm smash onto the bed and fast asleep oh wait you can’t sleep because you ache so much wait you fell asleep you wake up u r skipping school because you can’t walk. The next person I hear say rowing isn’t a sport well why don’t you try it then.

Get the Skid row mug.The best rowing team out there. The energy is so chaotic and crazy and our team is extremely close. our land days and erg tests will make you want to die. Novices wear too much team gear and varsity wears the unis, oakleys and visors. Our arch enemy is New Trier. The boys on both CRF and new tier team wear lots of spandex so girls have to keep their eyes up!! the one day we don’t have practice our team gets separation anxiety. The dock is COVERED in goose poop. Masters are also very intimidating as they stare at us carrying up boats. Coaches on the team are very strict and spooky but also extremely nice and caring. Regattas are so so fun and we all hang out in a tent. after practice we all go to dunkins and consume A LOT of chocolate milk, coffee and glazed donuts. in conclusion, crf is our family and lifestyle.

Get the chicago rowing foundation mug.rowing (or crew) is one of the hardest sports there is. racing is pushing yourself to the absolute max and then pushing further. you can't take a quick break for a sip of water you can't take a breather no, you keep on going even if your legs feel like they are gonna fall of even if your blisters after are the size of bottle caps. you keep on going. other sports will tell you that rowing is calming and not that physical. ask those people have they ever had to take their hands back together. ask them if they have been hit in the face by an oar. ask those people have they pushed them selves so much that they throw up after their competitions. ask them do they wake up at half 4 to get to a bone breaking practice.
