Get the Bit the whalemug. A term used by IT professionals to refer to a network link, or flow of data in bits, bytes, etc. A "Bit hose" could be any I/O, yet is intended to be used in reference with networking.
In reference to a network intrusion, "Sadly, the rogues walked in through the bit hose and set up shop; most had no idea they were ever there."

"I just got back from seeing the cutest guy ever. We actually had a normal conversation and it wasn't awkward at all seeing him for the first time. He plays hockey to which I didn't know!!! That should be cool having something in common. We basically played soccer all day, that was, AFTER he met my parents. (Still can't believe he was okay with doing that). We just talked for a bit while passing the ball back and forth... and I looked up and saw a cloud in the shape of a heart. Who knows... maybe this IS meant to be.."

Get the Nick Bitsmug. Either (1) the tendency for data stored on a digital medium to decay in quality, so that the contents are corrupted or (2) the tendency for software to mysteriously stop working after a period of time, despite no changes to the code.
My coworkers were angry at me that my program stopped working. I told them, "I tested it a few weeks ago, and it worked then! The failure must be due to bit rot."
