When someone tries extremely hard to be correct about everything/prove everyone wrong, especially over trivial things that no one cares about. "Being a Jerm" also refers to someone who tells you a pointless fact every chance they get.

Peter: yeah that song came out in the 70's
Jerm: No, it came out in 1978.
Peter: like I said..
Jerm: *googles and pulls up Wikipedia page* see, 1978, you were wrong.

To surf binge is to spend unhealthy amounts of time surfing the internet with no particular mission involved except the occupation of time.

Noun: "Bob started on the internet looking up prisons, but wound up in an 8 hour surf binge that had him from commenting music videos on youtube to downloading plans for a rocking chair."

Verb: "Last night I surf binged so hard I had to shave after I pulled myself away from the computer."
