When people smoke more than one joint (marijuana cigarette) in a circle with a group of friends and someone takes a long time to pass a joint in the direction of rotation. The effect of this stop in rotation causes a pile up and may result in wasted cannabis.

a strange phenomenon that must be taken into consideration when deciding on a departure time for any trip taken in an automobile

I need to consider the traffic math involved with my trip to work. Leaving 5 minutes earlier results in me getting to work 15 minutes early, but leaving 5 minutes later results in me being 10 minutes late for work.

A male or female who has not been getting any recently and so feels the need to patrol the streets giving more fortunate people fines for parking their car in places that they shouldn't. Traffic wardons also do many other tasks which are important to maintaining the number of pissed off car owners.

Traffic Oasis

When you think you finally see the source of a traffic back-up on the highway, whether a stalled car, accident, cop, or some wild turkeys running across the highway, only to pass the offender, and discover there's something else further up ahead still causing back-up.

When he saw the tow truck and police lights on the shoulder, Mike thought the traffic would finally speed up. Unfortunately, it was just a traffic oasis and it took him another hour to get home.
