a "Job Swing" is where someone uses a knife like a sword to try to cut you with. Like the way you hold a lightsaber. Instead of a left and right motion its a chopping motion like a sword by up and down.

I was walking to the store and this thug, I'm presuming a newbie, tried to job swing me with a knife.
