Pre-Estimate Meeting

An extremely valuable meeting with all of the best minds at the table to ensure all the right specifications and customer requirements are in place so that we can estimate and price the work effectively in order to win the work. (For the sake of efficiency - these meetings should be held after the structural designs have either been approved or we are 92% sure that the design will be approved)

This morning we went to the pre-estimate meeting after the structural design had been approved! It was so fun and there was a lot of amazing information gathered!

intentional false estimate

A charge that is not yet a criminal offense, but should be. Deliberately mis-stating how long something will take, how much it will cost, or how difficult it will be.

David (after a 30 minute hike straight up the side of a mountain): That wasn't 10 minutes!
Tim: I knew if I told you the truth, you wouldn't do it.
David: That's an intentional false estimate. You should be in jail, asshole.

Her: We just have to stop in at the party and say "hi". 30 minutes tops.
Him (2 hours later): 30 minutes!? 30 minutes?! Intentional false estimate!
Her: Just like, "the game will be over in 5 minutes?"
